Privacy Policy
We keep this simple. Here's what we collect, why, and how we take care of it.
What we collect
- When you email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to share.
- When you recommend someone for the Village, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, how you're connected to us, and what you share about the practitioner or business, along with their contact details.
- When you post on the Village Bulletin, we collect your post, your city or neighborhood, your first name if you share it, and your private email and optional phone number.
- When you donate, your payment is handled by Zeffy. We receive your name, email, and gift amount, but never your card details.
How we use it
- To reply to you and connect neighbors who want to help each other.
- To reach out to recommended practitioners and businesses and ask if they'd like to join the Village.
- To send donation receipts and thank-you notes.
- To share occasional updates, only if you've joined our mailing list. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.
What's shown publicly
- Bulletin posts show your title, description, city or neighborhood, and your first name only if you choose to share it. Your email and phone are never shown.
- Village listings show only information the practitioner or business has agreed to share.
- Village recommendations may show your first name, only if you said that's okay, and the reason you shared for recommending them.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
- We never post your private contact details on the website.
Tools we use
- Airtable stores form submissions, Zeffy processes donations, Mailchimp sends our newsletter, and Microsoft Outlook handles our email. Each has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- You can ask us to update or delete your information, or take down a post or listing, at any time. Just email hello@aspenandelder.com.
- Our website and forms are meant for adults. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to reach out with you.
Changes
- If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
